Måneskin is the Italian rock band from Rome formed in 2016 by Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi, and Ethan Torchio. Their name comes from Danish for "moonlight", a tribute to De Angelis's heritage. The quartet rose to national prominence in 2017 on X Factor Italy, finishing second, before unleashing a string of albums that blended classic rock swagger with glam theatrics.
Their international breakthrough arrived in 2021 when they won Eurovision with "Zitti e buoni", catapulting them from Rome's streets to arenas across continents. Notable albums include Il ballo della vita (2018), Teatro d'ira: Vol. I (2021), and RUSH! (2023). In 2023 they received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, cementing their status as the rock revivalists who made guitar music matter again in an era dominated by digital production.
