The one-man psychedelic universe

Tame Impala is the recording project of Kevin Parker, a Perth songwriter who writes, performs, produces, and mixes nearly everything himself. What began as a bedroom experiment grew into one of the most influential psychedelic acts of the twenty-first century, blurring the line between vintage rock and modern electronic pop. Each album cover is a portal into that shifting sound, and on a wall they read like chapters of a single evolving vision.

From bedroom rock to global phenomenon

The arc runs chronologically through four studio albums. InnerSpeaker (2010) introduced a warm, guitar-soaked psychedelia recorded in a remote beach shack. Lonerism (2012) turned inward and denser, layering swirling synths over Parker's introspective lyrics. Currents (2015) was the pivot to shimmering disco-tinged pop, and The Slow Rush (2020) meditated on time, memory, and change with lush, cascading production.

Why the covers work as art

Tame Impala artwork leans on bold color fields, kaleidoscopic distortion, and dreamlike imagery that mirrors the music. The desert doorway of Currents and the rippling textures across the catalog translate beautifully to large-format prints, holding their impact from across a room while rewarding a close look.

Sizes and framing

Each poster comes in several standard sizes so you can match a compact nook or a full statement wall. Smaller formats suit a desk or shelf ledge, mid sizes anchor a single frame above a sofa or bed, and the largest formats command a hallway or studio. Prints ship unframed by default, which keeps shipping safe and lets you choose a frame that fits your space. A slim black or natural wood frame keeps focus on the color, while a white mat adds gallery-style breathing room.

Building a gallery wall

Because the four albums share a psychedelic language while each owning a distinct palette, they cluster naturally into a set. Hang all four in matching frames for a chronological run, or pair two contrasting covers for a smaller vignette. Keep consistent spacing, around 5 to 8 cm between frames, and align either the tops or the centers for a clean grid. Mixing a Tame Impala print with related psych and indie artists builds a wider music-lover's wall.

Every poster in this collection is made to order and printed on museum-grade, archival matte paper built to resist fading for decades. We use giclee-quality pigment printing for deep blacks, accurate color, and crisp detail, so the swirling gradients and bold fields of each cover stay true to the original artwork.

Because each print is produced individually when you order, nothing sits in a warehouse losing quality. Your poster is inspected, rolled in protective sleeving, and shipped in a sturdy tube to arrive ready to frame.

Whether you are marking a favorite record or building a full music wall, these prints are made to last as long as the songs do.

Good to know about Tame Impala

  • Tame Impala is essentially a solo project: Kevin Parker writes, plays nearly every instrument, produces, and mixes the studio albums himself, while a full band joins him for live shows.
  • The debut album InnerSpeaker was released in 2010 and was largely recorded in a remote beach house near Injidup in Western Australia.
  • Lonerism arrived in 2012 and was widely acclaimed, featuring singles like Elephant, which became one of the band's best-known tracks.
  • Elephant was later used in advertising and gained wide exposure, helping push Tame Impala toward a larger audience.
  • Currents, released in 2015, marked a major shift from guitar-driven psych rock toward synth-heavy, disco-influenced pop.
  • The lead single from Currents, Let It Happen, runs nearly eight minutes and became a signature of Parker's new production style.
  • Currents earned Tame Impala a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album.
  • The Currents track The Less I Know the Better became a massive streaming hit and one of the project's most popular songs worldwide.
  • Kevin Parker has collaborated with and produced for artists across pop and hip-hop, including work associated with Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, and others.
  • The Slow Rush, released in 2020, is a concept-leaning album centered on the theme of time and the way it shapes memory and change.
  • Tame Impala takes its name partly from the impala, an African antelope, chosen by Parker for its evocative, untamed imagery.
