The breakout years

Everything starts with Hot Fuss, the 2004 debut that carried Mr. Brightside and Somebody Told Me and made the band a global name almost overnight. Two years later, Sam's Town traded synth-pop gloss for a bigger, heartland rock sound rooted in their Nevada home, with anthems like When You Were Young.

Reinvention and range

With Day & Age in 2008, the band leaned back into color and rhythm, producing the unlikely hit Human. Four years later, Battle Born doubled down on polished, arena-ready rock, named after the Nevada state motto and the studio where it was made.

The desert chapters

The most recent posters mark a creative rebirth. Imploding the Mirage in 2020 is euphoric and expansive, while Pressure Machine in 2021 is a hushed, narrative record built around Flowers' small-town Utah upbringing. Together they show a band still willing to change.
