Gemitaiz is the stage name of Davide De Luca, an Italian rapper and producer from Rome, born on 4 November 1988. He emerged from Rome's underground hip-hop scene, first with the Xtreme Team and later as a solo artist, steadily building a reputation through his early mixtape series Questo Che Vi Consiglio, known to fans as the QVC series. His solo debut album, L'Unico Compromesso, arrived in 2013 after signing to Tanta Roba Label, marking his transition from underground favourite to established recording artist.
Since then, Gemitaiz has released a string of influential projects including Nonostante Tutto in 2016, Davide in 2018, QVC9 in 2020, and Eclissi on 13 May 2022, which featured Neffa on the title track. His partnership with MadMan, which began in 2011, became one of his defining collaborations, producing the duo albums Kepler in 2014 and Scatola Nera. In 2025, he released Elsewhere, his seventh studio album, continuing a career that has made him one of the most respected voices in Italian hip-hop.
