Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985 at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, originally under the name Majesty. The lineup featuring John Petrucci, John Myung, James LaBrie, Jordan Rudess, and Mike Portnoy has delivered some of the most ambitious and technically sophisticated music in metal history.
