Mobb Deep was an American hip-hop duo from Queensbridge, New York City, formed by Havoc and Prodigy in the early 1990s. Their debut album, Juvenile Hell, arrived in 1993, and they became especially associated with grim, hardcore East Coast rap. The group's most recognized era runs through The Infamous (1995), Hell on Earth (1996), and Murda Muzik (1999), with The Infamous widely treated as their landmark album and a cornerstone of 1990s hardcore rap. Signature songs like 'Shook Ones, Part II' and 'Survival of the Fittest' defined their sound and cemented their place in hip-hop history.
Their discography continued with Infamy (2001), Amerikaz Nightmare (2004), and Blood Money (2006), before The Infamous Mobb Deep arrived in 2014. Following Prodigy's death in 2017, the duo's later releases became part of their posthumous legacy. In 2025, Mobb Deep released Infinite, a major comeback-era release produced with involvement from The Alchemist and released via Mass Appeal. The album features guest appearances including Nas, Clipse, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Jorja Smith, H.E.R., and Big Noyd, marking a powerful return after the long gap since 2014.
