William Mezzanotte, known to fans as Nayt, has been a defining voice in Italian conscious rap since the early 2010s. Born on 9 November 1994 in Isernia, Molise, and raised in Rome, he built his reputation through self-driven releases and introspective, socially conscious writing that set him apart from mainstream party rap. His first single, No Story, appeared in 2011, paving the way for his debut album Nayt One in 2012 through 40 Ladroni Records, widely treated as his starting point as a recording artist.
From the Raptus trilogy (2015, 2017, 2019) through Mood (2020), Doom (2021), Habitat (2023), and the live project Habitat: Tour (2024), Nayt has maintained a steady album cycle that reflects his evolution as a lyricist. In late 2024 he released Lettera Q on 22 November, followed by the highly anticipated Io individuo on 20 March 2026, which reached number one in Italy. That same year, press coverage presented him as a Sanremo 2026 contestant with the song Prima che, cementing his place at the forefront of Italian hip-hop. Each poster nayt design captures a chapter of this journey, from the raw energy of Raptus to the reflective maturity of Habitat.
