01South Central LA Storytelling in Print
Quincy Matthew Hanley, known worldwide as Schoolboy Q, emerged from South Central Los Angeles to become one of the most compelling voices in contemporary hip-hop. Born on a U.S. military base in Wiesbaden, Germany, and raised in California, he joined Top Dawg Entertainment in 2009 and helped define the label's golden era alongside Black Hippy collective members Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock. With five Grammy nominations and a Billboard 200 number-one album to his name, Schoolboy Q's career spans gritty mixtape beginnings to mainstream breakthrough moments.
02A Collection Celebrating TDE's Finest
This collection of six museum-grade posters captures the visual essence of Schoolboy Q's most significant projects. The Oxymoron Deluxe and Blank Face LP prints commemorate his Grammy-nominated works, both of which showcased his unflinching lyrical honesty and sonic experimentation. The Setbacks and Habits Contradictions designs pay tribute to the mixtape era that built his foundation, while CrasH Talk and BLUE LIPS represent his evolution through major-label collaborations and his 2024 comeback. Each print is inspired by album aesthetics that defined eras in West Coast hip-hop, translating iconic cover art and imagery into wall-worthy tributes.
These are independent art prints inspired by Schoolboy Q's work, not official merchandise. We're an independent print shop celebrating the artistry that resonates with fans of conscious hip-hop, TDE's legacy, and Los Angeles rap culture.
03Building Your Hip-Hop Gallery Wall
Schoolboy Q posters work beautifully in music rooms, studio spaces, or anywhere you celebrate authentic hip-hop culture. Start with a centrepiece like the Oxymoron Deluxe print in A2, then flank it with smaller A3 prints of Setbacks and Blank Face LP to chart his creative journey chronologically. The muted tones and bold typography across these designs create visual cohesion whether you choose black frames for a sleek look or unframed prints for a raw, DIY aesthetic. Mix in other TDE artists or West Coast legends to build a gallery wall that tells the story of modern Los Angeles hip-hop. All prints arrive on 200gsm matte paper, ready to ship across Europe and the United States.
