Migos was an American hip-hop trio from Lawrenceville, Georgia, formed in 2008 by Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset. Originally performing under the name Polo Club, the group built its early reputation in the Atlanta rap scene before adopting the Migos name. Their breakout full-length project arrived with the mixtape Juug Season in 2011, establishing the signature triplet flow and ad-lib style that would define their sound. The debut studio album Yung Rich Nation followed on July 31, 2015, marking their first major-label release.
The Culture trilogy represents the most important era for Migos fans and their mainstream identity. Culture arrived in January 2017, followed by Culture II in January 2018 and Culture III in June 2021. The final album proved to be the last Migos project to include Takeoff, who died in 2022, effectively ending the group's active run. In May 2026, reports noted a Quavo-Offset studio reunion and an official Migos post signaling renewed activity, keeping the group's name in the conversation even after a long hiatus.
