The Cure have spent more than forty years turning mood into music, and their album covers carry that mood as surely as the songs. Led by Robert Smith, the band moved between gothic gloom, pop brightness and widescreen melancholy without ever losing its particular atmosphere, and the sleeves — often blurred, dreamlike, saturated — are instantly theirs. This collection reproduces those covers as prints, each produced to order on 200 gsm matte paper, in sizes from A4 to A1, framed or unframed.

Disintegration and the classic era

The run is anchored by Disintegration (1989), the blurred, grief-struck masterpiece many fans rate as the band's finest, joined here by Wish (1992) and the restless Wild Mood Swings (1996). These covers carry the dreamlike smear that defines the band's look, and printed large on matte stock that softness holds rather than hardening into glare under a lamp. Hung together, they map the band at its most expansive — the records that turned atmosphere into something you could put on a wall.

Bloodflowers to Songs of a Lost World

The later catalogue deepens the mood. Bloodflowers (2000) closes the band's self-declared trilogy of darkness; the self-titled The Cure (2004) and 4:13 Dream (2008) keep the run going; and Songs of a Lost World (2024) returns decades later with one of the most acclaimed sleeves of the band's career. Together these covers show a band that never chased trends — a continuity of feeling across decades that makes the discography unusually coherent to hang as a set.

Live and remixes

Beyond the studio albums, the hub carries the live and remix releases: the concert films Show and Paris, the Mixed Up remix collection (in its remastered edition), the Acoustic Hits set and the Hypnagogic States EP. These are the covers for the listener who followed the band past the studio records, and they give the collection depth beyond the obvious albums. Grouped with a classic sleeve, they round the hub out into a fuller portrait.

The look: blur, colour and mood

What ties the prints together is the band's unmistakable visual language — soft focus, saturated colour, dream imagery that refuses to sit still. That softness is exactly what a matte print serves best: there is no hard digital edge to fight a lamp, and the smeared colour holds its atmosphere at A2 or A1 where gloss would throw glare across it. These are covers built to evoke a feeling rather than sell a face, and on the wall they bring a room the same hazy, melancholy warmth the music is known for.

A wall of atmosphere

Because every Cure sleeve shares that dreamlike register, the prints group into a wall that feels like a single mood rather than a set of separate posters. Put Disintegration at the centre, flank it with Wish and Songs of a Lost World in matching frames, and the result reads as one continuous atmosphere spanning the band's whole career. Pick the album that marked you, or collect the run and let the mood carry across the wall, from the gloom of the late eighties to the elegy of the most recent record.

Sizes, paper and framing

Every The Cure poster is printed on demand, so the artwork is reproduced edge to edge and nothing fades on a shelf. Choose A4 for a cluster, A3 and A2 for the main wall, or A1 when one cover should carry the room. Frames come in black or white; unframed prints ship flat. For neighbouring walls, see our rock artist posters hub, or cross to Radiohead posters, Nirvana posters and Oasis posters.
