• ◆Lose Yourself, from the 8 Mile soundtrack, won Best Original Song at the 75th Academy Awards on March 23, 2003, making Eminem the first rapper to win an Oscar. He was so sure a rap song could not win that he skipped the ceremony, and co-writer Luis Resto collected the award. Eminem finally performed the song live at the 2020 Oscars, 17 years later.
