About Basketball Success Poster
Hang it above a console, beside a desk or across from the sofa, and a plain wall suddenly gets a dark, quiet centre of gravity. The charcoal and grey palette sits comfortably in rooms built on concrete, black metal and muted textiles, and it lets brighter accents around it stand out.
At its heart is a glossy black vinyl toy figure with a cartoon look, crossed-out gold X eyes and bulbous ears, standing dead centre with an orange basketball tucked under one arm. The orange is the only warm note in the picture, so the eye lands on it straight away. Behind the figure the background blurs into dim shadow, which gives the render depth, while bold white capital letters spelling SUCCESS run across the top.
Start with A4 or A3 for a shelf, a narrow hallway or a corner of a bedroom, move up to A2 for the wall above a bed or a desk, and give A1 a feature wall of its own. Choose no frame, a black frame for a heavier, graphic edge, or a white chrome frame for a lighter, brighter finish.
What kind of paper is the poster printed on, and how do the colours look?
The poster is printed on 200gsm paper, a sturdy stock that holds the moody charcoal and grey tones of the artwork evenly. The glossy black vinyl figure, the orange basketball and the bold white SUCCESS lettering stand out clearly against the dim, blurred background.
How should I look after the poster and hang it?
Dust the surface gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep the poster away from damp areas and direct sunlight, which can fade the tones over time. Hang it at eye level in a dry spot so the composition sits comfortably in the room.
Which size suits my room or wall?
A4 and A3 work well for shelves, desks or a small gap between other pieces, while A2 suits a bedroom or living room wall. A1 makes a striking statement on a large, open wall where the figure and lettering can be seen from across the room.
Should I choose a frame, and what does each option change?
Going unframed gives a clean, edge-to-edge look that suits a casual space. A black frame adds weight and sharpens the charcoal tones, while a white chrome frame brightens the setting and gives the figure a crisper, more modern finish.
