About tony boy NOSTALGIA export poster
This one is for the listener who reads liner notes and track lists before pressing play, and who likes an album to feel like a place rather than a playlist. If tony boy's NOSTALGIA (EXPORT) is a record you return to, this poster gives it a face.
The artwork is a detailed charcoal-style illustration in pure greyscale. A giant watching eye looms in stormy clouds above an ornate stone archway, with a lantern, a cross and thorny branches gathered below. A grey info panel carries the fourteen tracks, the colour swatches, a signature, the release date and the Parental Advisory label, so it reads as both image and record sleeve.
Its tonal depth suits a hallway, a studio wall or the space beside your turntable. A4 and A3 fit shelves and narrow corners, A2 gives a desk or sofa wall real presence, and A1 turns it into a feature wall piece. Choose no frame for a raw edge, a black frame to deepen the shadows, or a white chrome frame for a lighter, cleaner line.
Should I choose the framed or unframed version of this poster?
The black frame gives the charcoal illustration a bold, graphic edge that suits the stormy eye and the stone archway. The white chrome frame feels lighter and brings out the grey info panel. Without a frame, the artwork reads as a loose print with a more raw, editorial feel.
What size should I pick for my room or wall?
A1 suits a large open wall above a sofa or bed, where the looming eye can dominate the space. A2 or A3 works well in a hallway or living area. A4 is ideal for a desk, shelf, or a smaller corner where you want detail without overwhelming the room.
How do I look after the poster and hang it properly?
Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid pressing on the surface. Keep it away from damp bathrooms and direct sunlight, which can fade the greyscale tones over time. Hang it at eye level, roughly centred on the wall, so the details are easy to read.
What should I know about the paper and printing?
The poster is printed on 200gsm paper, which feels substantial in the hand and holds the fine hatching of the charcoal-style artwork well. The greyscale tones show subtle shading in the clouds and branches, and the small text on the info panel stays crisp up close.
